[A fizzle of noise, and then the screams of some likely horrific manner from his company in the room. Yuugi didn't bother turning on the screen, because his faces wouldn't help anything, and a distressed pokémon would likely cut in in seconds.
So there's just one frazzled Yuugi talking.]
Hello? Is- I should just go to a doctor, but. Is.
[What can he ask? This, can't be normal, and he doesn't expect much. But, he can't just keep trying to find answers on his own! Nothing's waking Bakura up, and sitting here by him or keeping his pokémon off isn't helping.
And neither does his growing question of, whether this proceeds, a Johto exit.
When a horrid screech comes from his company - likely heard all the way on the street, at that, drawing attention to the house - he jolts back.]
Does anyone know- Are comas common here?
[[ooc: quick warning- responses may be slow over the week, but the difference might be covered by Fran, with Bakura's distressed ghost-types! Lucky, eh?]]

[No. They changed it.]
So it must've changed even more since your time, huh?
[Oh yeah, he's aware Yuugi can't know of Daedalus Bridge, considering how it was only built after that incident, but he'll keep quiet about it for now.]
[A, disconcerting thought... And suddenly Yuugi's hoping Crow's from waaaaay after him, just so if it's true, it's not like everything's going to disappear soon.]
But, if it's still called "Domino", I guess it's just grown a lot! And, sounds like for the better? At least recently?
[... That, and the old Domino has been thorn down anyway...]
Sure! [With the discrimination now decreased to somewhat bearable levels and all.] 'S gone a long way in a short time, trust me on that.
[Flying a little blind, yes.]
[It's... kind of difficult to explain those without including the details when Yuugi doesn't even know the circumstances behind the whole thing, but Crow will try taking the easy road of remaining relatively vague.]
... The unification of Satellite and the City did.
[Not that it clears things up, but oh well.]
[That totally follows to him, save for the general vagueness, and Crow's answers hinting it's not that simple. A merging of a city wouldn't change the culture all on its own, right?]
Or, is it another city that built up over water? You did mention a bridge...
Crow doesn't answer immediately, considering his options of how to put it into words -- technically, he was right on both, and wrong at the same time, so...
Well, he has to start somewhere.]
... Satellite is the old Domino City.
[What's that mean? Sure, it follows a new part of Domino might build up, and the center of the metropolis might move away from its original grounds, but across water? Separated?
He's good with puzzles, sure, but he's missing pieces here.]
Why would Domino move?
There's no use beating around the bush, though.]
... The old Domino City was almost completely destroyed nearly twenty years ago.
Satellite is what remained of it.
...
[So sorry, could he repeat- No, on second thought, don't repeat that. Yuugi's having enough trouble closing his mouth as is. And wiping the image of about any place back home that comes to mind, disappearing.]
W-what...
How could- Was there a war or something? That's...
[He'd probably feel a teeny tiny bit better explaining that to him face-to-face instead of over the network, but since he's already said that much, there's no turning back now.
Crow sighs and continues the story.]
'Bout twenty years ago, Kaiba Corporation developed a new energy generation system, Momentum. It was still being tested when... something went wrong.
[... That's a mild way of putting it, but it's probably better to keep the involvement of Dr. Fudou, Godwin brothers, the Wicked Gods and Yliaster out of it for now. He doesn't really want to confuse Yuugi even further, given how he seems pretty traumatized already.]
Momentum began rotating backwards, went out of control and exploded, causing an earthquake and tsunami wave that tore Domino off the land. [He makes a pause, allowing for that to sink in. Surely, he doesn't need to go into details for Yuugi to imagine the scale of the disaster...]
... We call that Zero Reverse incident.
But, that wouldn't work, would it? Even if they can change the future/past, Crow's from far after him. His company or not, what could Kaiba do about it that far down the line? (And would he believe him to begin with.)]
...I take it, there weren't a lot of survivors...
... Still, future can be changed. He doesn't know if, now that Yuugi is aware of what will happen, he can prevent that; perhaps it's already too late or the time gap is too big to make difference anyway. Perhaps Yliaster would have found some other way to try to destroy the City.
But for Crow, that all is past, and he's learned the hard way he cannot -- should not -- change it. Whether Zero Reverse could have been avoided is not for him to ponder. He should focus on stopping the upcoming tragedy.
Yuugi's words disrupt his train of thought and immediately bring him back to reality. Oh right, the casualties... were great. Too many have died on that day, and following that, too many have parted with the world due to starvation, illnesses or simple violence over the next seventeen years.
But there were those who survived. Those who never gave up hope, no matter how bad it got, those who refused to be reduced to pieces of trash that the City's residents viewed them as.
Crow smiles weakly at him, making an attempt to sound reassuring. How successful it is is up for debate, but one thing for sure: it's definitely sincere.]
You're talking to one of 'em.
Knowing he was a survivor of this, grew up and has a life in the "new" Domino? He's like a living reminder whoever bad this disaster is... It doesn't swallow his world whole. Some things must have carried over, right?
Pardon Yuugi then, please, while he mouths some answer, lets it go, and tries again.]
Then, you're from... You must've been young.
[Gah- Okay, not what he was looking for!]
Yeah, I was a few months old! So, uh, don't expect me to remember any details of it.
[... Which is probably for the better.]
[Or, something? Ah, hard to explaaaaain.]
... Yeah.
Satellite or the City, that shouldn't make any difference.
[And yet it does.]
I don't know what to do with this, though... I could try to do something, but, can I change something? You definitely remember it happening, after all.
