12th Piece // Route 34 // Video/Text
[The feed springs on to show a Natu, moving back from the screen to stare at whoever is holding the gear. Nothing's clear from a couple jumps, but she must be conversing somehow. Until the sound of a cackle has her turning and bouncing right over to the baby Vulpix who's listening far too closely to that Haunter for her laughing. She even pecks the baby in the head to get him away, then sits at his feet to discourage the Haunter from doing anything else.
The Vulpix isn't too set on going back either, since the Natu lets him bat her around like a ball for a few seconds. Then she suddenly jolts up and goes to the edge of the road they're all on, looking off to the left. As if aware of what's so interesting, the camera man turns the feed smoothly over-
Right over to the incoming Arcanine, skidding to a stop and sending his riding sprawling to the ground. Yuugi even rolls a couple times, landing right where the Natu can bounce right into his hair, where she belongs. That stops the boy from even rubbing his poor head, and he just sits slowly up instead.]
Aaaaaa... Okay, we need to work on stops more- Oh, don't worry Isami. [Yuugi throws a roughed up grin the fire dog's way when he comes up to sniff over his head, ruffling but not disturbing the bird nesting there.] It's cool- We've definitely got the balance down now, and you're not jolting me off all the- Oh hey, Kansei.
[He reaches down to pick up the Vulpix - who honestly just wanted his ball back - but Yuugi freezes when he spots the feed looking right at him.]
....Shin---!! What are you doing?! Turn that-
[Ever the faithful Lucario, Shin turned off the view of the action, but a few minutes later a text comes on the network.]
Apparently even my team thinks I should ask, so.
Anyone have advice for teaching large Pokémon to let you ride them?

no subject
At least, in my experience, Aggron can carry a lot more than Arcanine and stuff like that.
video?
I don't want to find out by hurting him. Do you have a good idea what's safe for an Arcanine?
video
Two people if we're travelling light.
video
If I was traveling with somebody, I'd probably Fly or something.
video
Flying's fun, but I like being able to train on the way.

video
I was thinking I probably wouldn't ride while training much, anyways. But it could be helpful, if we need to get somewhere fast.
Or get away fast.
video
Are you okay, by the way? You look like you took a hard fall there.
video
And I think if something really bad happened to me, my Lucario and Natu would know something.
[And the later is clearly calm as can be, staring at Roxas.]
video
Mm, pokemon are good at that.
[Have a pikachu staring back. And a Joltik.]</small.

He and my Arcanine are both not sure what else to do
other than say what fails
text
Just ride it?
Shouldn't 8e too hard if you ask me.
text
But turns out it takes some coordination.
text
8ut like I said, if you've got someone who can commune with the 8easts, you can pretty much get them to do aaaaaaaanything.
8ut then again, not everyone can 8e as gr8 a I am, and a natural at these sorts of things.
You'll just have to keep trying.
text /super late edition!!
I will.
Shin can tell me some of what my Arcanine says, but we both have to work at it. I've never ridden anything, and he's still getting used to being this big.

Sit on them
Repeat as many times as it takes for them to not buck you off.
[THIS HAS BEEN: HELPFUL ADVICE WITH HEATHER MASON.]
[Text]
[He shall make good use of advice, just watch!]
[Text]
that'd depend on the pokemon in question and therefore I have no answer
but for the record riding a Togekiss is sort of like riding a happy cloud
[Text]
But my friend's Drifblims and how one knows Fly, and not the other, says evolving isn't all it will take.
[Text]
yeah you're gonna need one of those things for it
the HMs
[Text]
Do you know where I can get one?
[Text]
I dunno about the one that lets you surf
but pretty sure you can get a copy of the one for Fly on Cianwood
that's where I got mine.
[Text]
Is that the city all the way in the West?
[Text]
Yeah
the one across the ocean a little
you can take a ferry there from Cianwood.
[Text]
I guess this is a reason to cross it, too!
[Text]
cool
if you're thinking of crossing it YOURSELF, be careful.
There's whirlpools
[Text]
I don't have any water-types, or Surf
Is there not another way?
[Text]
Yeah there's a ferry like I said
[Text]
Thanks- I'll save up money for the ride
