kingofgamecorner: ([calm] what are you talking about?)

2nd Piece // Goldenrod City // Action, Video

Okay, okay, back off, Isami.

[As usual, the pup-sized Growlithe was loathe to listen, but Yuugi picked him off his poor victim without much worry, knowing he wouldn't bite him. He hadn't tried since his first day- He was the most hostile hatching Yuugi had so far, but also the fastest to warm up. Now he couldn't leave a room without Isami following underfoot! Not a strange trait to his little crew - Momo was always looking to say something to him, even if he couldn't understand, and Senzai and Shin followed him about, too.

Except, little Junko... She barely let him touch her. He was half-afraid he did something to hurt her... Until it became clear she did that with all humans around her, and pretty much anyone - save Isami, and Momo.

And yet.]

Oh-

[Yuugi blinked in surprise as the same Buneary took Isami's place on the bed, coming over to inspect the newborn. Was she just as curious as them, why it hatched with a block of wood? Or.

Well, whatever. Seeing shy Junko making curious noises at the thus far quiet, long-faced baby, Yuugi broke out a grin and shifted Isami to one arm, and pulled out his PokéGear.

Video on!]

Hello- I don't know if it's worth mentioning, but. I don't know what's common and what's not here, yet, in terms of talking over this. So, here we go.

I was given some eggs, from the Breeding Centre, in Goldenrod! And they've all hatched over the last week! Isami, Junko- I mean, a Growlithe, Buneary, and Riolu. And in the meantime, I caught Momo, during the flight to the city, and then I found this egg, on Valentine's. I think a lot of others did too, but.

[Here, have a view of a starry coverlet, with a Buneary and Timburr being adorable together, the bunny hovering but not wanting to touch, while the little pointy-head gray fellow tries not to hit her with that wood block, apparently far too heavy for him.]

This little guy hatched a couple hours ago. -I'm calling him Harudei, but I can't tell if he likes it or not.

And now I have six, four in the last few days, and. I was wondering. Does anyone have advice for how to give so many enough attention? Or what to do for these specific types? I don't want to neglect any of them, especially since I have a- Ah-

[The 'Gear swerves and gives a view of the ceiling just shortly after the Timburr near fell over from the weight of that block. There's a peripheral view of Yuugi doing something at the bed, and the Buneary hopping off, before a Growlithe covers the screen, sniffing away.

Enjoy some funky noises.]

[[Disclaimer: Certain egg providers are invited to his this mun upside the head if the egg presumptions are a problem!]

Trial and error, mostly. Lots of trial and error.

[And hoping that Campbell has enough wherewithal to do something if Harry starts screwing up.]

I'm still not sure what exactly he eats, if anything. Or if he just drinks water and absorbs sunlight...

I figure he's either gathering berries on the sly or just kind of subsists on water and air. Like a supermodel.

Hop-pi?

No, I am not setting up a photoshoot for you.

From what I've gathered the ghost-types here act more like...

[He waves a hand around a bit, searching for the right term.]

Poltergeists, I guess. Boggarts. Trickster spirits. Actual ghosts tend to be pretty destructive when they interact with the living.

...with or without an ectomancer involved?

[You've gotten him talking shop now, Yugi. Be afraid. Be very afraid.]

Because I know at least one guy who was on pretty good terms with the ghosts around town. But when they start affecting the physical world directly, it's usually because they're too insane to know they shouldn't.

Spirit of the what? ....maybe not.

[Unless Yugi is somehow a really skilled wizard without realizing it, or is being possessed by a really clever demon or something...]

...Are we talking about a ghost possessing someone, or a ghost manifesting entirely on its own?

...okay, yeah. That sounds like ectomancy. More or less.

[And unless this kid is a certifiable sociopath, he doesn't seem like someone who's been possessed.]

Mind if I ask what kind of puzzle?

Oh, Egypt.

[That seems like it should explain quite a bit.]

Yeah, ancient Egyptian wizards got up to a lot of strange stuff. Pretty impressive that the spells involved lasted that long.

Memory loss is pretty common with ghosts. Memory is basically ALL they are, so if they use too much energy doing something...

...That's a bit more unusual.

[Putting it mildly.]

Still, could be any number of reasons for something like that.
